Hey! I’m AJ – part-time human and full-time F1 addict. Between school, work, and everyday life, I always make time to catch every race (and probably tweet about it too). I started this blog as a space to share my thoughts, hot takes, and F1 ramblings with other fans who are just as obsessed as I am.

I proudly support McLaren (even through the chaos), and Oscar Piastri is my driver – a fellow Aussie absolutely killing it on the grid. Whether I’m cheering during a double points finish or yelling at my screen over strategy calls, I’m always fully in it. Right now, I’m just seeing where this blog takes me – it might be race reactions, random opinions, team breakdowns, or whatever’s on my F1 brain that week

If you love the sport, love McLaren, or just need someone to scream about turn 1 drama with – welcome.

The Blog

I started this blog after the Miami Grand Prix in 2025, when I desperately needed to tell someone – anyone – every single detail about what had just happened. Instead of blowing up my friends’ phones, I wrote a whole article about it. One of my friends told me I’d spent way too long on it not to put it somewhere.

While that first piece may never see the light of day, it did spark the idea for this blog. So welcome to Checkered Lines – a blog made by an F1 fan, for F1 fans, for when the lights go out – because Formula 1 doesn’t come with a therapist.
